EMSI Post-Mission Video TrackerThe EMSI Post-Mission Video Tracker was designed primarily for test range use. Test data is recorded during missions on digital DV format tape decks (such as the Sony DSR-45). Post-mission analysis is meaningless without accurate time-tagging of recorded video. This is accomplished by digitally recording SMPTE timecode information onto the mission video tape. Since test ranges normally use the IRIG time standard, the IRIG time is converted to the SMPTE time code standard. This is necessary because the IRIG time standard is not video frame based. Our software reads the SMPTE timecode off the tape and converts back to IRIG. Our software can produce highly accurate target track information as a function of both IRIG and SMPTE time. |
